She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist. Dr. Smith takes pride in offering comprehensive fertility care employing all types of fertility treatments including the advanced reproductive technologies (IVF, ICSI, PGD).
Dr. Smith is native of New York City and attended New York Medical College. After completion of medical school she was accepted to the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Ob/Gyn residency training program. During residency she received a prestigious national award for her laparoscopic skills.
After completing a 4 year Ob/Gyn residency she joined the University of Connecticut, Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and completed a 3 year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After her fellowship training, Dr. Smith has held academic appointments at Creighton University, The University of Nebraska, The University of Texas and The University of Colorado. Her academic and scientific background, plus her empathetic approach is a winning combination, much appreciated by her patients.
