BABY STEPS TOWARDS CONCEIVING

Every couple at one time or another wants to have a baby and as a matter of fact we usually think that it an easy process. When at school we used to attend the sex education classes we used to think getting pregnant is pretty easy however it’s not that easy. • Artificial insemination: It is a process where concentrated sperm which is taken from the father or a sperm donor in case the father is infertile is inserted in the mother’s vagina or uterus.
• Drug Therapy: To correct hormonal problems in your body drug therapy is used. Such as Pergonal is a hormonal medicine which increases egg or sperm development. Metrodin is another such hormonal medicine which again stimulates growth rate of an egg.

• ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection): This process is helpful for those couples in which the man has low sperm motility or the sperm cannot penetrate the egg. In this process the sperm is injected into the egg and then placed in to the uterus.As per experts the success rate is 20-25%
• Surrogacy: When all the processes fail the last resort is surrogacy. When a woman is unfit to carry a child or both the father and mother are unable to reproduce they take help of other women. The surrogate mother will then carry the fertilized egg for nine months.

All the above mentioned processes are very costly and expensive . It is always good for people who are trying to conceive consult with a doctor.
